Authority & Compliance
This defines the professional boundaries for nutritional services provided by Praxis Performance, adhering to NASM Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC) standards and California Business and Professions Code Section 2068.
1. Authorized Nutritional Services
Services are strictly educational and designed to support the physiological demands of the 12-week macrocycle.

Nutritional Education: Instruction on the metabolic function of macronutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates) and micronutrients to optimize hypertrophy and recovery.

Caloric & Macronutrient Calculations: Determination of Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) and macronutrient ratios based on TANITA RD-545 body composition data and training volume.

Nutritional Periodization: To ensure every corrective strategy is based on absolute spatial data rather than visual estimation.

Behavioral Coaching: Implementation of evidence-based strategies to improve adherence and lifestyle consistency.

General Population Guidance: Recommendations for healthy individuals seeking to improve body composition and athletic performance.

Recommendations are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition or disease.
Professional Boundaries (Excluded Services)

To ensure client safety and legal compliance, the following are strictly outside the scope of practice:

Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT): No prescription of nutrition to treat clinical diseases (e.g., diabetes, celiac disease, renal failure).

Prescriptive Meal Planning: No provision of rigid, specific meal plans. (Guidance is limited to food selection and portion education).

Clinical Interpretation: No analysis of blood work, hormone panels, or medical diagnostics.

Psychological Treatment: No counseling for eating disorders or mental health conditions.

Referral Policy

Clients presenting with medical symptoms, suspected eating disorders, or needs requiring clinical intervention will be referred to a licensed Physician or Registered Dietitian (RD) prior to the continuation of coaching.
